The Dakota Square Mall was built in 1980 and is the largest mall in North Dakota. A unique feature
of the mall is the attached hotel, Sleep Inn and Suites. There are four anchor stores and seventy
shops to choose from. The water park is another highlight and famous with families and children.
You will always find a bargain at Dakota Square Mall. Choose between the four anchor stores of
Target, Scheels, Barnes & Noble, and JC Penny. Clothing, sporting goods, and shoes are the top
selections for mall-goers. Target offers the complete package for your household. Target offers
everything from clothing and shoes to food and household items. Barnes & Noble has books about
every subject. JC Penny has stylish fashions for each family member. Scheels carry sporting
goods for the sports enthusiast. Some other popular stores include GameStop, to buy all of your
computer and digital games. Another popular store is Payless Shoe Source, for shoe shopping on a
budget. After you have finished shopping stop and enjoy food from the food court. There many

Splash Down Dakota Water Park is a part of the mall too. This is popular for those hot days of
summer. The water park is 24,000 square feet. The park opened in 2004. If you are not into going
shopping you can always spend a few hours at Splash Down. The water park features two kiddie
slides, three slides for adults, a 48-person hot tub, a lap pool and over forty games in the arcade.
